Most rentals advertised as “group cottages” in Burgundy are family homes with a couple of extra beds. They sleep 15 in theory — in practice the kitchen is too small to cook for everyone, the living room can't fit a single table for 15, and someone ends up on a fold-out.
Un P'tit Bout de Ciel was built for group stays. 180 m² of indoor space across two floors, an open-plan living room that comfortably seats 15 around one dining table, a kitchen with two ovens and a dishwasher, three full bathrooms, six proper bedrooms with reversible air conditioning. Outside, a 900 m² landscaped garden, a covered terrace under a pergola, a private heated hot tub, a pétanque court, and a pool house with garden lounge furniture.
It is the only home of its size in our part of Southern Burgundy to hold both the 4-star Atout France and 4-épis Gîtes de France classifications — two independently audited ratings of the property and its equipment.

Built for groups — not converted from a small house
180 m² of living space designed for 15 people to actually share a meal together. One dining table seats all 15. The kitchen has two ovens, a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, raclette grill.

The hot tub sits in the garden under a custom wooden shelter, so weather is never a reason to skip a soak. It fits six to eight adults at a time, holds 36-38 °C year-round (yes, in January too), and has a discreet built-in sound system you can connect to your phone via Bluetooth.
A handful of bath robes are provided. Most groups end up using the hot tub twice a day — once before dinner, once under the stars.

Ciel, Saône-et-Loire — Southern Burgundy.
We sit in a quiet village called Ciel, in the Saône-et-Loire département (postcode 71350), at the southern edge of Burgundy. Verdun-sur-le-Doubs and its weekly market are five minutes away. Beaune and its Hospices are a 25 minute drive — the heart of the Côte de Beaune wine country. Chalon-sur-Saône, with the TGV station that links Paris in 1 h 25, is 30 minutes south.

How many people fit in the hot tub at once? +
The hot tub comfortably seats 6 to 8 adults. With a group of 15 you'll naturally rotate — most groups split into a soak session before dinner and another one after.
Is the hot tub really heated in winter? +
Yes — it stays at 36-38 °C all year, including January. It's sheltered under a wooden frame so rain is not a problem, and we keep it running during your entire stay.
Can we book the cottage just for a weekend? +
Yes. Minimum stay is 2 nights from September to June, and 4 nights in July, August and at Christmas / New Year. Weekend rate starts at €1,050.
Is the price really for the whole cottage? +
Yes. We rent the cottage exclusively as a whole, up to 15 people. The price is the same whether you're 8 or 15. You won't share with anyone else.
Can we arrive by train? +
Yes. The nearest TGV station is Chalon-sur-Saône, 30 minutes away by car (Paris-Gare de Lyon in 1h25). We can recommend local taxi services on request.
Do you accept parties, hen or stag dos? +
Yes, subject to conditions: celebrations are possible with our prior agreement, within the 15-guest limit and with respect for the neighbours (moderate evening music, no powerful outdoor sound system). Tell us about your plans when booking.
